Meeting with Dan Brouillette, Deputy Energy Minister of the United States of America

During the bilateral meeting, the Head of the State greeted the US Deputy Energy Minister and thanked him for his participation in EXPO-2017 international specialized exhibition.

The President of Kazakhstan noted the confidential nature of cooperation between the two countries, which has been established over 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties.

- This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our diplomatic relations. During these years, Kazakhstan has built trustful cooperation with the US, which was not overshadowed by any events. During that period of time, agreements were concluded in the energy sector and in the field of democratic partnership. We jointly resolved the matters of struggle against nuclear weapons. In all issues on the international agenda, Kazakhstan had a similar opinion with your country, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The Head of the State stressed the results of economic relations between Kazakhstan and the United States, and expressed readiness for their progress.

- There are more than 500 companies with participation of American capital in Kazakhstan, including the largest oil companies, which invested 40 billion US dollars in the Kazakh economy. We are ready to further develop our cooperation, the President of Kazakhstan said.

In turn, D. Brouillette, on behalf of the US President Donald Trump, congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev and all citizens of Kazakhstan on the international exhibition EXPO-2017.

-We are ready to continue our bilateral relations not only in the energy sector, but also in other areas. Today I have had a whole series of meetings with the heads of Kazakhstan’s public institutions, including Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister. I would also like to convey to you the words of Washington's support for Kazakhstan's membership in the WTO and OECD, the US Deputy Energy Minister said.

In addition, D. Brouillette thanked the Head of the State for the conditions created in Kazakhstan for foreign businessmen, including changes in the visa regime for investors.
